Chief Dullknife

September 8, 2006 / by justmyopinion

I have been scratching my head and writing furiously,  trying to come up with what I wanted to share with my readers in this article. I've written and scrapped several versions. Both the previous columns were the same way. Then. near wits end, something emerges and poof -- it writes itself.

Lately, I have been knee deep in the study of end times (eschatology) . It fascinates me when I listen to the news, read a book or see something on the Internet that lends itself to what I suppose is my own ideas about how some things are going to happen -- or perhaps they have already happened.

I'm no Hal Lindsay nor a prophet but I do see what I think are unmistakable signs of a potential end times scenario. Perhaps I'm all wet and there are those among my closest friends that say I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.  But as chance will have it, I get to write what I think.  So if you care to join chief Dull knife, here's a few of my observations.

First, mankind appears to be in some sort of a world war and it is definitely a religious war. Newt Gingrich recently called it World War III  - I agree. In this global war there is much at stake, including the future of these United States - especially if God decides to remove  his protective hand from over our land.

And why wouldn't he? As a country we have repeatedly told God we don't want or need his help.  We have forgotten that we were founded by divine providence and we now believe that we are doing perfectly well on our own, thank you very much.  We elect leaders who succumb to the lure of power and we in turn take great pride in our ability as humans to determine our own future -- without our creator.

As a truck driver I am truly blessed.  I have the unique opportunity to speak daily with  the many and diverse peoples of this great nation. Sometimes, in our conversations,  these  good citizens must surely think that I'm either an alarmist/nut burger or a prophet. They proudly assure me that nobody could ever threaten the United states. "We are much to powerful" they say.

Well, maybe you believe that. I almost wish I could, but when I look at the flag these days I feel like crying. We lost or at least fought to a draw in Korea. We lost in Vietnam. I expect we will tuck our tails and run in Iraq. Do you think Fascist Islam will go home and be nice then?
What does history say?

What I see is yet  another sign America could fall because we refuse to face reality. If you don't believe anything else I've written today believe this, this is a fight to the death. Fascist Islam has said so and I for one believe them.  Can you say 911?  These Fascist  play the liberals and the unsuspecting  media like fiddles.

Because of this I have been down and thought it was too late and frankly, it may be , yet  God tells us in   2 chronicles 7
"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land,"

Will we do that? I hope and pray so. If not it may very well be the beginning of the end.

Speaking of end times.  Did you know that Muslims expect their Messiah to come back as well? They call him Al-Mahdi "the rightly guided one" who will lead them to unprecedented global triumph. Sound familiar.  My guess is that this Al-Mahdi has a better chance of being the Antichrist than a savior.

Listen to the last line of President Ahmadinejad's speech before the General Assembly of the United Nations:

"O mighty Lord, I pray to you to hasten the emergence of your last repository, the promised one, that perfect and pure human being, the one that will fill this world with justice and peace."

That ain't Jesus he is talking about friends!  I've  read the whole speech

click here for full text of the speech

and believe me, if you don't have a discerning spirit, this guy might just make sense.

It would appear that things are just starting to get bad yet people are already tired of war.   Are they ready to welcome someone that seems to have all the answers and end all these terrible struggles?

Unfortunately, nothing can stop the end of time when God decides its time. It's time to get your house in order, it's time to fill you lamps with oil. Be wise, pay attention to what's going on, petition your public servants, encourage your pastors and get involved as best you can.

I don't think that this nation can be overthrown if Christians will follow the advice in 2 chronicles 7. It is my opinion that we are indeed vulnerable,  especially if we do not change our ways and humble ourselves. Even as I pen this article , I pray it's not too late.

Perhaps your vision of the signs of the time is a bit different. Please write me and tell me I'm wrong and where I'm wrong. I don't care if your a nut burger...lol, some of my best friends are.

                                              Just my opinion,
                                                    Bill

Iran is a theocracy not a fascist state. I can't imagine his repeated reference to democracy in his country when it doesn't exist. However, I don't agree with your philosphy of Jesus of Nazerene as being divine not did he ever attach divinity to himself. He was a wonderful prophet and highly evolved soul who preached compassion but always pointed to his father, the perfection of the universe. There's no "end of days", the last judgement is your self judgement, when you gasp your last breath and the judgements of your lifetime are revealed. Spiritual perfection would not create a world only to destroy it, Jesus was not a terminator whose amition was to create a folly for his amusement. His message is clear, as clear as all the diverse spiritual paths, there's only compassion, and in the end, we all have our last judgements to whether we've woven a life of hate or peace. Karma is a natural law, what we harvest, we reap...in the end we'll all find out how much unconditional love we've planted or how much destruction we've caused. I'm not being critical by any means, just stating an opinion...I appreciate your thoughts, and I too still feel the searing pain of friends still laying in the misty jungles of Vietnam...it never leaves.

I was born in 1947. That is the year Israel began to ingather. That is the biggest event in modern history since our Saviour Jesus Christ left this planet. The next will be the building of the third and final Temple in Jerusalem, Israel. America, in my opinion, is going to last, but we will be chastisted with nuclear war, and that I am in angst about. We must fight to get Jesus Christ back to America in everything-we must invite him back personally-every one of us. Keep studying prophecy, and participate in it as well. Blessings, Carol[THUMBUP]
