 Remembering you on Memorial Day.

I want to apologize to the veterans that may read this article. What I WANT to do in writing this is honor you some how. To write a tribute to match what is in my heart for you and what you do....everyday, for us. I don't have words to adequately describe how proud I am of you. I want to find someway to do what we're supposed to do on Memorial day, honor not only our fallen Hero's, but YOU also, the one's that fought along side of them. I don't have word's to describe how honored and blessed I feel to have YOU men and women being my family's guardians in such terrible times as these. I hope you know that some in the country you defend with your life's blood, still love you and respect you and well...would like to thank you!

I've been worried for some time because I believe we are in a struggle for our very existence against these radical Islamic thugs and your NOT receiving the support you deserve and need to wage the war you've been sent to fight, at least not by ALL of us, like you should be.

   That being said,

I heard Marcus Luttrell ( a personal Hero of mine) on the Glenn Beck radio show yesterday. One of the things he said was,  "Don't worry, we've got it." That was very re-assuring to me. He was referring to the fact that great Hero's like him and all our other men and women in uniform, have it all under control.

(They don't let the petty and spiteful comments of some anti-American morons interfere with their duty. Water off a ducks back, sorta thing.)

 Scum Bag's Murtha and Kerry
(No, I don't honor these two "Vets",  Benedict Arnold was a Vet too and we don't honor him)

I'm sure it still hurts though.
Marcus is to honorable to get mixed up in this political squabbling, he's just "doing his job."

Men like him fight and die everyday because they believe in America and what she stands for. They don't think America is everything that is wrong in the world, they still salute the flag and get a lump in their throat when they hear the Star Spangled Banner.

These Men and Women are the finest of us, the very best America has to offer.

Marcus was part of a four man SEAL TEAM and lost three of his brother's in arms in a firefight in Afghanistan. They fought over two hundred Taliban. The Taliban killed three, Marcus and his brother's killed over half of the Taliban before succumbing to their wounds. There is no "quit" to a Navy Seal so Marcus crawled over seven miles, fighting all the way while the Taliban pursued him. Some "friendly's" finally rescued him from certain immediate death. He was eventually captured by members of "the religion of peace" while in their village and tortured (and I don't mean they water boarded him either), but was once again rescued by the other brave villagers and finally another team of our heroic soldiers got him to safety.

People will say they support our troops but oppose the war. I suppose that is their right. I suppose they are too ignorant to see the propaganda bonanza they give our enemy's. Just like in Vietnam. They even call this a modern day Vietnam, then go about doing the exact same things that caused our pullout from there, resulting in the death of millions, multiple thousands at least, and our own defeat and humiliation. (Not our troops loss either, THEY WERE WINNING....until Walter "commie" Cronkite said we couldn't win.)

Jane Fonda on a North Vietnamese Anti Aircraft gun. Another anti war protester.

Still, because of the hero's that serve this country so well, things are turning around in Iraq though God forbid any "good news" about that fact make it on the 6'oclock news from the left wing media in our country. God forbid Hollyweird make a movie about how heroic they truly are. No, they are more likely to make movies that make OUR soldiers the bad guys, and the evil scum bags we fight look almost noble.  God forbid a politician humble himself or herself and say "I was wrong, they CAN get the job done...they've got it, don't worry."

I don't mean to make this post just another political "rant."

I simply want to tell our men and women in uniform, the one's that stand up for America, that have fought, bled and died for her...past AND present.....from the bottom of my unworthy heart...Thank you, may God bless you and your's and bring you victory...then bring you home safely.

This year don't make Memorial day just a three day weekend, a barbecue or a weekend getaway. Thank a soldier, honor these people, not just the fallen soldier but be proud of the one's serving. I am.

                                                                      Just my opinion,
                                                                         Bill
(There IS a movie in the making that DOES support our troops and shows them for the hero's they are, "Lone Survivor" about Marcus and his team. Get the book, it's amazing!)
