It is rumored that there will be war in Iran. President Ahmadinejad certainly wants it, I think he has since 1977 when he and others took over our embassy. This whole thing SHOULD have been nipped in the bud then, but Jima Carta didn't have the nuts. Did I ever tell you that I voted for that wackjob? I did. It was the very first time I ever voted in a Presidential election and the very last time I voted for a Democrat. I was young, I still believed that what people said they meant, especially if they SAID they were a Christian
Now days everyone has faith. Bukak, Hillary everybody. In the words of that great American philosopher (whoever said it first) PUHLEEZE! Alas, I'm getting off track for this article. Back on point...the war with Iran.
So here we go again. More division in OUR country, more infighting with our citizenry, more vitriol between right and left, conservative and liberal. I hate that, it plays right in to the hands of our enemy's.
I think Bush will hit them before he leaves office OR Israel will. A nuclear Iran is NOT acceptable to a rational mind.
Israel held nationwide drills last week in preparation for the war to come. Dick Cheney made the rounds in the Middle East to inform Arabic countries still friendly to the U.S. You haven't heard a peep out of them either because they are just as afraid of Iran having "the bomb" as we are....or we should be.
I tend to think it is a necessary thing to do but I'm not sure HOW we are going to manage fighting an even wider war in the Middle East. One, we don't have the money. Two, we are stretched thin on manpower. Three, we are not unified enough to win ANY war it seems to me. I feel for the President because it is an awful reality that if HE doesn't tackle the problem before HE leaves, it will only let the threat grow. Possibly until it's to late to avoid millions of deaths. No wonder most of the Presidents hair turns gray before they leave office. I'm hoping that someone has a little better plan this time around.
I can certainly see how President Bush THOUGHT Iraqis would be throwing flowers at our soldiers feet after the fall of Sadaam. I would've, he was certainly a maniacal psychopath and I would have been thrilled to be rid of him. I guess it's some kind of cultural thing. I really don't know. Islam has had infighting for centuries and perhaps we were foolish to ever get involved in the first place but when you go knocking down buildings in New York city (not that Iraqis did) it's kinda hard to stay un-involved....unless your a liberal I guess.
General Petraeus's seems like a very capable man so if the bureaucrats will let HIM fight it,(unlikely I know) perhaps it is something we can accomplish decisively. I don't know though, fighting the radicals THERE and the liberals HERE may be the straw that breaks the proverbial camels back.
I know many of you think it is insane to go to war with Iran. In some ways I agree with you. What is more insane is to let the radical nation of Iran to have the "Islamic Bomb."
It's bad enough that precarious Pakistan has one now.
Well, now it falls in to the hands of the "moron" in the White house to clean up Jimmy's mess thirty years later, while Jimmy's busy over in the Middle East stroking Hamas.
Why isn't he tried for treason anyway? We are at war with terrorists. Hamas is listed by the FBI as a terrorist organization. By him going there and fraternizing with the enemy, can someone tell me WHY THAT isn't treason. Wait, as I write this I realize why. The "Chamberlains" are in charge. If we just talk to them, reason with them, everything's gonna be fine. Peace in our time and all that feel good drivel.
Well, we'll see. We are gonna have a war with Iran sooner or later. Might as well get on with it I suppose. God help us all.

Chamberlains are right - talking sure stopped Hitler so I'm sure it will stop Iran. I don't want to go to war with Iran - but Lord knows I don't want them left unchecked either.
Have you read the Ezekiel Option by Joel C. Rosenberg? Great book - premise based on prophecy in Ezekiel where Iran (Persia) and Russia (Gog/Magog) become buddies and attack Israel. Quite pertinent to today (and no, Iran and Russia don't win).

. Revalations reads like today's headlines but most people seem un-aware of it. If this is God's pre-ordained time of the end I guess there is nothing we can do but watch it unfold. I can't wait until Jesus sets up HIS kindom. I hope we'll both be there, I'll meet ya for coffee. 
But thats the dangerous thing. Christians are suicidal. One of the precursors to "jesus taking his church up" is ofcourse all the human race fighting one and another and killing and giving up on morals etc. But I feel that has already been done by christianity. The rate of rape, Fornication, adultery. Selling your wives and daughters on television in the veil of art and culture.
Nowhere in the constitution is it written "this is a christian nation" I find it semi amusing to see these christians stand up and claim how America is the nation under God and christianity. Sigh children with propaganda drilled in their heads. 1032 sects of Christianity are available these days. New bibles and new versions. Each versions takes entire verses out of it.
But that is a debate for another time.

Is desperation the real truth behind Christianity? I have never seen Islamic missionaries on my door steps. Nor Have I seen a Muslim pick up a sword against another human being. In the Quran it forbids a Muslim to even harm an innocent human being.
So we now have come to the conclusion that these people you speak of are the "black sheep" of Islam. Every religion has them, its illogical to label an entire religion because of the actions of a few hundred or thousand people.

Sorry muslims are not irish catholics, But its flattering nevertheless. 8 children, are you mad? Your in your 40s, You most likely have two children. Do you think you can raise 5 children? forget 8. As a final point. Jihad's true meaning is "to strive" or "to struggle" The jihadist term was coined by the media to propagate its own sense of propaganda against religion. Jihad also does not mean "holy war", getting sick of people lacking education in this. I mean come on, If you dont know something, ask an expert or ask someone who knows. America is already known as the dumbest country for putting George bush on the chair atleast have some dignity to try and refute that claim rather than accept it as a fact.

I just bought all 5 books in the series. I am beiggining at the end with "Dead Heat" but I am going back and read all 5 in order. If you don't have "Dead Heat" yet, GO GET IT! It is one of the most important books on the market today! Just my opinion of course.

Most Christians who say they will die for their faith are not talking about going out and becoming suicide bombers as is unfortunately so common within Islam. We are willing to die in the name of Christ - usually at the hands of someone who is trying to silence our beliefs. Any Christian who wants to kill in the name of Christ is probably not a true Christian. I can call myself a Venutian, but that doesn't make it a fact.
Most of your rant about Christianity shows a deep misunderstanding - because you only have a head understanding and not a heart understanding. Most of the translations of the Bible have more to do with the changing meanings of words in English which is a dynamic language - all you have to do is look up any word in the Oxford English Dictionary to see how meanings may change over the years. The King James version of 1610 has words that no longer mean the same thing that they do today. So a new translation comes out to be meaningful to the current generation. The original scriptures have not changed - only the translations. As a result, the truth of what is being said remains the same - that is that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again on the third day victorious over the grave. He is the Son of God, and the savior of anyone who will accept this and repent and strive to live for him. Do we slip, do we err? You betcha - because we are still human and still have that free choice that was given to us by our heavenly Father. Do we still continue to have our eternal hope and help - absolutely - because we belong to Him and that can never be severed - even when someone wearing a suicide bomb decides to end our earthly lives.
I haven't read Dead Heat yet - in fact, I'm going to order it right now! Then order a copy for my library.
I'm also going to get Epicenter - it's another new one that he's written but non-fiction and about the various prophecies that are being fulfilled.
I'm hoping to get one of those Kindle readers soon too! I'd love to just buy a new book and have it wireless downloaded instead of schlepping down to the nearest bookstore or waiting for something to be shipped! Then I could get these books in a matter of minutes!

Tell me which channel you've been watching that gives the impression suicide bombers are common? The concept of suicide is not allowed in Islam, forget killing innocent lives. As for my christianity rant being false, Im here to learn and be corrected, If you feel i am wrong, Quote from the bible and prove it so i may learn.

I didn't actually say they were common - but when we hear about suicide bombers they are invariably related to at least a radical form of Islam. I haven't heard about too many suicide bombers who are radical "Christians" (I use the quotes around that because calling yourself a Christian does not make you one.) As to what channel I watch - I rarely watch TV but read news reports from around the world to get different perspectives. Then I make up my own mind based on facts and trends that I see.
First of all, I would be happy to talk with you about Christianity if you have an actual question to ask me or a statement to give me about what you have read or seen. I can quote from the Bible but unless it is answering a specific question I won't be able to address anything that would be meaningful to your questions or attitudes you have. See, i agree but once again, If you say christian suicide bombers are not christian then why is it hard to believe that muslim suicide bombers are not muslims. Terrorism is not a monoply of any religion.
